Day 1 : ANTALYA
Arrival at airport. Meet with our representative
at the airport. Transfer to hotel. Diner and
overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 : ANTALYA – KONYA
– CAPPADOCIA
In the morning visit of the theatre of Aspendos,
which has one of the best-preserved theaters in
the world. Its acoustics are so well tuned that
a coin dropped on stage can be heard in the last
row. Driving to Konya, the saint
city, capital in the Middle Age of Seljuk Sultanate.ville
sainte, capitale au Moyen Age du sultanat seldjoukide. Visit
of Mevlana museum, the convent of whirling
derviches. Lunch during the visits. Continuation
for Cappadocia. Diner and overnight at Cappadocia.
Day 3 : CAPPADOCIA
Departure in the morning and drive to Cappadocia
(Apg 2,9:Petr 1,1). Cappadocia has a landscape
formed out of tuff which resembles a fantastic
moon landscape. Visit Cappadocia, an area where
culture and nature co-exist . visit of the Göreme
open air museum famous for the rock-cut churches
and houses. Visit the early Christian churches
which are decorated with unique frescoes depicting
various scenes from the Bible (Karanlik Kilise)
from the 11th century. Possibility of visit of
an underground city which could shelter several
persons from enemies attacks. Discovery of the
rich handy craft of the region : Possibility
of shopping in a carpet manufacturer and in a
factory of onyx. Lunch during the visits. Dinner
and overnight at hotel.
Day 4 : CAPPADOCIA
– PAMUKKALE
In the morning departure for Pamukkale. During
the road visit of a caravanserai of Seljuk
Sultanate named “Agzikarahan”. Lunch during
the road. At the end of the afternoon arrival at
Pamukkale. Visit of Pamukkale, where the special
water cascading over the mountainside, transferred
the rocky slope into a lime, cotton like look with
numerous levels of water basins which has given
the name 'Cotton Castles' to the place. Photo break
of the world famous travertines. At the same time,
visit of the ruins of the Hierapolis, amphitheatre
and one of the best preserved necropolises in Anatolia.
Highlights include the Roman Baths, the church,
the Temple of Apollo. Hierapolis was a rich city
with an economy based on the textile industry.
Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 5 : PAMUKKALE –
KUSADASI
In the morning departure for Kuşadası. During the
road visit of the antique city fo Aphrodisias dedicated
to the goddess of love and home to a school of
sculpture that was known throughout the ancient
world. Sculptural relief's still adorn many of
the buildings. Explore its many Greco-Roman remains
including a stadium, which once sat 30, 000 people
and the Temple of Aphrodite, which was later converted
into a Christian basilica. After the lunch departure
for Selçuk. At the arrival to Selçuk visit of the
house of Virgin Mary and continuation for Kuşadası.
Dinner and overnight in Kuşadası.
Day 6 : KUSADASI –
DALAMAN or DALYAN
In the morning, visit of the Ephesus, the biggest
metropolis of the western Anatolia during the Roman
era, where St. Paul had his main effect (Apg 19,1-41;
Revelation 2,1-7). In Ephesus you can find the
remains of a very dense Roman occupation. See the
Domitian Temple, the Temple of Hadrian, the north
and the south Agoras, and the famous Celsius Library.
See the massive theater with 24.000 seats where
St. Paul first announced the Bible to the inhabitants
of the city. Visit the remains of the temple of
Artemis near Ephesus which was once one of the
Seven Wonders of the World. After the lunch driving
to Dalyan where you can admire
the unique fauna and flora of this site under the
protection. Dinner and overnight in Dalyan.
Day 7 : DALAMAN or
DALYAN – ANTALYA
Day 8 : DEPARTURE
In the morning, after the
breakfast transfer to the airport. |
