East of the country extends on more than 1000 km and offers many landscapes.
Istanbul – Diyarbakýr - Mardin
Departure from Istanbul with a morning flight to Diyarbakýr. From there we go directly to Hasankeyif, village dug in the rock, by the river Tigris which is also dug in the rock.
In the evening Mardin direction.
During the travel we will visit Mydiat we can admire monasteries of Tur Abdin « mountain of the Servants of God ». We will not miss either the monastery Mar Gabriel, founded at the beginning of Vth century by Siméon, and increased by his successor Gabriel.

Begining of the day with the discover of the monastery Deyrul Zafaran « monastery of safran », named after it’s beautiful ochre coloured walls. Built in VIIIth century on a sanctuary, today it has only 2 monks. We will continue with the city mardin which is among the rare cities of the world who cohabit several religions like islam, christianity, judaisme, yezidisme, etc... Majority of the population consist of Kurdes, Turcs and Arabes.

Mardin - Urfa
Departure in the morning to Urfa. We will start with the village of Harran who is situated about fifty km from Urfa and habrite the first university of the history. You will also be able to appreciate a characteristic of the village there; houses in “Cob”. Today Harran is a curious village with the houses in the sugar loaf shape characteristic of the area, blotties against the medieval citadel. We will continue with the visit of the medersa “Sultan Isa Medresesi”, dating from XIVth century and has a part that shelters the museum of the city.
Discover Urfa, old Edesse of the crusaders. First of all we will see the vestiges of it’s citadel from which it remains an impressing ditch entirely dug in the rock, then the “basin with carps of Abraham”.
Abraham is considered as a prophet by the Moslems. A whole of mosques and medersas are reflected in water of the basin.

In the morning we will continue with the visit of the Urfa then will take then the road for Adýyaman. During the way we will not miss a pause to see the dam Ataturk and the bridge of Firat

Departure early in the morning, we will be able to see Nemrut Daðý, a mountain which has a 2150 m altitude where you can find the most famous complex mounuments of the country. It was set up by Antiochos 1st Epiphane, king of Commagène from 64 to 39 before J.C. he pretended to be a relative of Darius 1st by his/her father and with Alexandre the great by his mother, and to thus make its kingdom a hyphen between the East and the West. While going down again, close to the ruins of Arsameia, the old capital of Commagène, we will discover Tumulus de Karakus (Ier century before J.C.) dedicated by king Mithridate to his mother.
We will continue then for Diyarbakir to return back to Istanbul.
